Peggy McCay as lead? Did she even have a story? Daniel Cosgrove as lead seems wrong too, but I've ignored Aiden, so maybe it makes sense. |

Peggy McCay SCREAMS of DAYS trying to ensure ONLY Alison Sweeney is considered for DAYS in Lead Actress. No Arianne Zucker in sight. Then again, Peggy McCay was voted into this Top 10... Edited by Mitchapalooza, Feb 4 2015, 12:06 PM.

Also Chrishell Stause making it for Supporting Actress is CLEARLY because Y&R people voted for her. |

If you ever needed more proof that this award show is ridiculous, just review the Days options. Peggy, Chrishell, and True. LMAO. |

She also scored a nomination as a lead two years ago. Ridiculous. But I would DIE if she did it again this year. |

True and Chrishell are both terrible. I don't think either one had a memorable moment last year. They don't belong there. And Daniel and Peggy don't belong in the lead. I think Days will be shut out of the awards this year. Maybe Camilla has a shot since the younger actors category is not that competitive.

SO excited to see Blake Berris and Camila Banus on that list. Totally deserved! Peggy McCay and Daniel Cosgrove as leads is a total joke. Sorry. I love them both, but they didn't lead any kind of story in 2014. Although if Peggy submitted her speech at the Wilson wedding, I think she may seriously have a shot at a nom. That speech was fantastic. Chrishell Stause for Supporting? Mmm... I don't think so. Kate Mansi would have been much more appropriate for this category. The story was a mess, but she ended up with a handful of great scenes! |

Also, do the "kids" (Ciara, Theo, Chase) usually get a pre-nom? I don't think I've ever seen that before! |

I am surprised Days didn't have anyone else in the lead male category? What about GV? Wasn't he having super priest angst that year? I bet you he had more scenes than Daniel C. |

I think DAYS will get noms for sure in Younger Actor & Actress as well as Supporting Actor. Lead Actress is questionable due to the Alison Sweeney factor (she is always snubbed...but this is her last chance, so who knows). No chance in Supporting Actress or Lead Actor IMO (though then again Daniel Cosgrove has been on pretty much almost every soap and knows a shit ton of actors in this industry, this is likely why he was DAYS lone Lead Actor pre-nom). I am absolutely THRILLED that Shawn Christian was shut out! |

This is a first for DAYS...DAYS seems to have a lot of supporting in the Younger categories, they always seem to lead pre-noms/nominations in those cats. |

This is likely what she submitted....I just have a sneaking suspicion. She is usually very good at submitting. |

You might be right. But I still don't believe Daniel Cosgrove would get a nomination. All the stuff he did were light hearted moments, except few scenes when he was feuding with Hope over cupcakes or whatever they were doing. |

IDK if it's usual, but Camryn Grimes won the Emmy for that category when she was very young. Under ten, IIRC. I'm hoping Camilla Banus will get the nom and the win. |

I agree on DC...but then again, this is the Emmy's and often times tapes and material don't matter, or at least it seems that way for certain nominees. |

Apparently these prenoms are based off of four minute clips, which is why the category fraud is a joke. Peggy McKay could absolutely be nominated if she submitted her speech at Wilson's wedding. Do not rule her out. People ruled her out two years ago, and she was nominated. Ali should be nominated regardless. It was her year on the show. Crishelle had an emotional/crying episode in November with the rape reveal, which I'm sure got her a pre-nom. Daniel Cosgrove's pre-nom is a mystery. I guess James Scott didn't want to get involved. Lauren and Connor are cute kids and entertaining actors, but I don't see them being nominated. Very excited for Blake. He was snubbed last year. Hope they make it up to him this year. Eric could repeat if he finds the right episode. Very excited for Camila as well. She needs to submit her confession episode. If she does, she might be a lock. True had nothing to do this year. I think she'll surprise people and be nominated next year. I think she's got some fire to her that we haven't seen yet, and I think we've underestimated her because of how Paige is written. I would be fine with either Casey or Freddie were nominated. Both are good actors and I'd be happy for either of them. It's just funny that most of the pre-nommed Days actors are not with the show anymore, or are barely utilized. Eventually the Emmys will have to go to 3 nominations per category. With only 4 soaps, having 5 actors per category gets a little ridiculous. |
